Axel the Dog needs a home

Please contact Teresa ([email protected]) for more information about this pet.

Welcome AXEL!!

Axel is an approximately 5-6 month old, currently 13 pound, neutered male puppy. His breed is anyone's guess! He looks like a pug, rat terrier and black mouth cur mix. He will likely stay relatively small.

Axel was the victim of a "stop 'n drop". Kids playing were asked if they liked puppies and when they said yes the person put Axel, covered in ticks, out of the car and sped off. No one wanted him. Those days are over!

Axel is affectionate, and playful. He is a typical puppy with high energy. He gets along with other puppies and dogs. Axel can sometimes be vocal for attention so may not be suitable for apartment living. He does well in a crate, but is not potty trained.

Axel has had 3 rounds of puppy shots, is current on flea and heartworm preventive, and is micro-chipped. He comes with a health certificate.

Axel's preferred home has a secure fenced in yard he can play in supervised. Someone with the time, energy, and dedication to train a puppy, and because of his exuberance, sharp puppy teeth and nails, no children under 6 please.

Axel is currently in a foster home in San Antonio TX and can be transported once adopted. All adopters must meet requirements.

Axel is available thru Lytle Animal Allies, a 501c3. Adoption fee is $185, and transport fee to the East coast via Rescue Road Trips is $185.
